My new favorite vodcast is Cocktails on the Fly with Alberta Straub. Of course it's my only vodcast. Miss Flighty is a little eccentric, but she enjoys what she's doing and provides a lot of good info. Check it out!

Amarok is happy to download the episodes, but it will only play the audio stream. If only they would relent and make it a full-fledged video player I'd be set. I love Amarok, just a couple little things it lacks for me.

I'm pretty set with my audio layout. I use autofs on my laptop and my computer at work so that I can NFS to my file server at home and then play media from the same directory wherever I am sitting. (/net/server/media/) I tell each instance of Amarok to use the same MySQL database for metadata, so my playlist of songs not played in the last 6 months works the same wherever I sit. I'm quite pleased. This wasn't possible back in my DSL days.
